Tyrant Throne = Cannibal Corpse + Morbid Angel + Deicide

Brutal death metal has pretty much become cliché in the metal world, with bands at each other’s throats to sound heavier than the next. This troop, hailing from Jordan, aren’t out to win any growling or blastbeat competitions. There is always comfort in something that you know and love and that is just what Tyrant Throne provides. A homage to the originators of brutal death metal, they even add a cover of the oh-so-gory “Staring through the Eyes of the Dead,” from Cannibal Corpse. The six songs on this EP are straight-up crushing, be it in their speedy death-metal transitions or groovy blasting. The fun part about the EP is that it encompasses pretty much every style of death metal, but with their own unique charm. It makes listening a blast instead of a chore, and in the end, that is all any band can ask for when all is said and done.
