Brutality in Jordan has a new name, and that name is “Tyrant
Throne”, with releasing the EP “Abominations” these guys
have set a new level to which other extreme bands in Jordan and the
Middle East will have to start comparing themselves.
The whole album is one fucking masterpiece, starting from killer
riffs, great drum programming, death growls from hell, extreme
sounding bass lines and great solos. The overall production of the
album is very clear and doesn’t sound like most of the other stuff
released locally, but I even dare to compare it to any other release
anywhere!
Now to the album musically wise:
After the Intro the listener is taken to the realm of the Tyrants,
the song “The Chaos Beast” starts off with one brutal killer
riff and a nice growl to continue with some great technical playing.
This technicality and brutality continues throughout the album. All
in all, what we hear here are some of the most brutal and technical
riffs I have ever heard from a local or Middle Eastern band.
The drum programming is also well done throughout every single song
on this album like “Slaughter for Salvation” for example. And
the whole album, in my opinion, does not have one single weak second
on it! And one can only wonder what this band will sound like when
they get a good technical drummer to play by their side.
The solos in general are short and well fitting into the songs, and
the vocals range from deep growling to some high-pitched death metal
screams. The overlapping of the vocals in some songs is very well
executed and sounds superb! There also are some great bass lines in
each song, but the bass in general shines through mostly in “Excavation to
our Rotten Ancestors”.
The great technicality these guys possess is observed best in the
instrumental track “One Man Kingdom”, and the professionalism
they have shows in the cover of Cannibal Corpse’s “Staring
through the Eyes of the Dead”. I tell you, Cannibal Corpse
themselves didn’t perform it much better!!
I
cannot but give the release a 10/10 because I was not able to find
any flaw in it … this is a huge milestone in the history of
Jordanian Metal!! And I must again emphasize on how much I was
pleasantly surprised, I enjoyed every single moment and can only see
great things happening for the guys in the future. Musically wise,
this year couldn’t have started off better for me!!
